Why is a fee item calculating incorrectly on a permit?

Fee schedule issues: - For Dollar Range or Size Range tiers, the last tier’s “To” field must be -1, not blank — a blank field means the system doesn’t know the range continues. - The permit’s use group may not match the use groups configured on the fee schedule. - The work type or application type may not match the fee line item’s conditions.

Display issue (not a real calculation error): There’s a known display bug where data appears to disappear during fee schedule entry. The data still exists — don’t click OK, or it will be overwritten with blanks. Cancel, close, and reopen the form instead.

Fee not pulling into an inspection: Check the fee type assignment on the application/inspection record, and click Load Fees on the Details tab to manually trigger fee loading.

If none of the above resolves it, escalate to SDL Support with the permit number, expected fee amount, and fee schedule configuration.
