SDL Portal - Construction - Setting Inspection Request Subcode Availability Limits

1. Once you've set up your SDL Portal Construction Inspection Requests, you can also customize the days and inspection limits available for your applicants to choose for each of your subcodes.

2. From the SDL Portal, navigate to SDL Online. You can get there from the Account button in the upper right hand corner.

3. Once in SDL Online, make sure that you are in the Construction module. The module you're working in is shown in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

4. If you are not in Construction, simply click the Construction module from the drop down list to get there.

5. The Construction Module options are available in the last section of the menu on the left side of the screen.

6. Go to the Calendar

7. Select the Subcode you'd like to set the inspection limits for from the dropdown in the upper left.

8. Click Settings

9. The Recurring Tab will be the standard days of the week and inspection limits available to Inspection Requestors for the Subcode you're in.

10. Select the day of the week you'd like to set

11. Click Edit

12. The Inspection Count shows how many inspections you would like to make available for the select day of the week in this Subcode.

13. You can edit the Inspection Count by using the plus or minus buttons, or by manually typing over the number displayed.

14. You can also choose to specify Blocked Time for the day of the week selected, in the specific subcode. *Note: blocking the morning or afternoon of a day is for internal reference only, applicants will not see time of day.

15. If you would like to make a specific day of the week completely unavailable for this subcode, change the inspection count to 0 and choose All Day for blocked time.

16. When you are done making your changes, hit Save.

17. The Overrides tab will allow you to change the inspection limit or block off individual days. This can be used when subcode inspectors have time off, or non-standard availability for a specific date.

18. Click Add

19. Click in the Override Date field to bring up the calendar.

20. Select the date that you're looking to change the inspection limit for.

21. Change the Inspection Count to the amount needed for that specific date.

22. Add in any Notes explaining why the override was needed. This will be for internal reference.

23. When you are done adding the override details, hit Save.

24. When you're done setting both the Recurring Schedule, and any Overrides needed, hit Save.

25. Repeat this process with the rest of your Subcodes.
