SDL Field and Mobile — New Inspections

The New Inspection tile is available across all SDL Field and Mobile modules and is used to create an unscheduled inspection on the spot. It is most commonly used when an inspector needs to add an inspection in the field that was not previously set up through the normal scheduling workflow.

The specific fields available when creating a new inspection will vary depending on which module you are in. Each module is templated to surface the fields relevant to that type of inspection. 

Across all modules, the Open on Create option is checked by default. When this is enabled, the newly created inspection will open automatically once it is saved, so you can begin entering inspection details right away without having to navigate back to find it in the list.
