Public Works - Inspections - Creating an Inspection From a Complaint

  1. Your home page displays the Complaints that are assigned to you. Select the Complaint you would like to review.

  2. Navigate to the Details tab to review the Complaint information. 

  3. Select the Module Applications tab. This tab shows all inspections and service requests associated with the complaint. Select Create Application to add an inspection.

  4. In the Form Type Choose window, highlight Inspection and the click Create.

  5. If there is a template you would like to use, select Use Template and choose the template from the list. Otherwise, click Use Blank to create an inspection. Click OK

  6. A pop-up window will appear. Click Yes to load the complaint information to the Inspection.

  7. In the Inspection tab, the Inspection Number will be generated automatically. Enter the details of the inspection including Start Date, Time, Inspector, Inspection Type and Work Type. You can also add comments.

  8. Go to the Features tab. If you have any features loaded in the system (hydrants, inlets, manholes, trees, etc.) you can select those features for the inspection to be linked to. See Guide - Working With Features for more information.

  9. The Notes tab allows you to add comments. 

  10. If you have created any inspection checklists, you can add them in the Checklists tab.

  11. If the inspection is associated with a Project, enter that information here in the Project tab. 

  12. Click OK to create and save the inspection.

  13. The Inspection has now been created and linked to the Complaint. Click OK
