Land Use - Options Settings

This guide is for SDL Desktop admins in the Land Use module who need to configure system-wide settings. Reference it when you want to know where to find settings for contact info and templates, zoning identification numbers/fees/zones, board application defaults (Zoning, Planning, Historic), violation lookup types and letter text, home page options, and standard report text.

  1. In the General tab, Contact Information which may be used in certain reports, labels, or letters can be edited. Templates can also be created allowing fields that are required by the municipality to be populated.

  2. In the Zoning tab, Identification Numbers, Fees, Lookup Types, Sign Rates, and the Construction Permit Creation notification email options can be set.

  3. In the Zones section, Click Edit.

  4. In the Zone tab, the Zone Properties can be set up.

  5. In the Supplementals tab, click Edit.

  6. In the Zone Supplemental section, the Supplemental Zone Properties can be set up.

  7. Note: the options in the Zoning Board, Planning Board, and Historic tabs are identical.

  8. In the Board tabs, Identification Numbers, Fees, and Lookup Types can be set. Click Edit Default Values in the Board Application Types section.

  9. Here, the Default Checklist, Fee Account, Fee, and Escrow can be set. Additionally the number of days for the Schedule Hearing, Resolution, and Appeal Deadlines can be set.

  10. In the Violations tab, Lookup Types, the Zoning Violation Signature Title, and Violation Header and Footer can be set. Note: Please contact Technical Support before using the Import Statutes option.

  11. In the Home Page tab, various Home Page options can be set.

  12. Note: Please contact Technical Support before using any options in the Data tab.

  13. In the Reports tab, Standard Text for Reports can be customized.
