OPR for Citizens: Intro to the Online Plan Review Process

This guide provides an overview of how the online plan review process works and what to expect after you submit a permit application.

Understanding the Process Flow

The OPR moves through several stages as town officials evaluate your documentation.

  • Admin Review: Initial processing by the town. You cannot access the review while in this status.
  • Initial Submission: The stage where you provide the required plans and documents.
  • Prescreen Review: Officials check that all necessary items are present.
  • Under Review: Detailed technical evaluation by town officials.
  • Released: The plan review process is complete.

IMPORTANT

Plan Review Status vs. Permit Status: A status of "Released" means the review is finished, but it does not mean your permit is approved. Your town will notify you regarding your permit application status separately.

Getting Access

  1. Notification: You will receive an email notification from a town official when a review has been started.
  2. Portal Login: Use the link provided in your email to access the portal. You will need to sign in or create a portal account.
Browsers: Use a modern browser, such as Chrome, for the best experience.
