How do I process a payment using a credit card swipe in SDL?

Credit card payments are processed through the Municipay integration.

1. On any payment screen, click the green credit card button in the payment grid.
2. This opens a window waiting for the card swipe, along with a Municipay screen (assuming Municipay is already configured).
3. Swipe the card — the point-of-sale terminal should recognize the transaction.
4. Complete the transaction on the terminal.
5. The payment automatically updates in both SDL and Municipay, which sends the payment information back to assign funds to the correct fee items.

Important: Municipay integration must be set up before this feature can be used, which requires a Vendor Authorization Reference form from Municipay. To get started, contact Support and specify which module needs credit card processing.
