Can a resident look up a permit's final inspection status on the portal?

Yes — but what's shown depends on what the municipality has configured. Visibility is controlled under Portal Admin > Settings and Access > Data Display > Permits and Inspections; some towns show full history, others limit it.

If enabled, residents can search for a permit by permit number, control number, address, work type, or status, and view associated inspection records. If public access is restricted, inspection results are only visible to the logged-in applicant who owns the submission (via Account > My Activity > Permits).
