How do I Add Code Enforcement, Fire Prevention, Land Use or Construction Statutes to SDL Desktop?

This guide is for SDL Desktop admins/users in Code Enforcement, Fire Prevention, Land Use, or Construction who need to add or bulk-import statutes into the system. Follow these steps when you want to populate statutes using the provided spreadsheet template (via Excel or Google Sheets) and send them to SDL support for loading, rather than entering each one manually.

 

This video shows how to add statutes through a spreadsheet template or manually in the SDL Desktop Modules for Code Enforcement, Fire Prevention, Land Use and Construction.

After opening this file, choose one of these options:

1. To edit in Excel - choose File / Download / Microsoft Excel to download this in Excel format.  Add your statutes then email the file to support@getsdl.com to have them loaded.

2. To edit in Google Sheets - choose File / Make a Copy to open in your own Google Sheets.  From there, add your statutes, then email support@getsdl.com with a shared link to this file or download it as an Excel format and email that to support.
