How do I add a new permit type (e.g. fire permit, backflow preventer)?

This is specific to the Construction module and depends on what needs to be added.

Adding a new subcode/work type that requires a fee schedule change: Reach out to SDL Support — this involves changes to the fee schedule.

Adding a new Work Type (no fee schedule change): 1. Go to Tools > Construction Options. 2. Under the General tab, find the Work Types section. 3. Select the appropriate category (New Construction, Addition, Alteration, or Demolition) and add the new work type there.
