Vehicle Tracking Maps

    

You can now add vehicle tracking maps to your town website using SDL Portal map widgets. Let your citizens know exactly when and where the Snow Plows have been in their area. Or if the Garbage/Recycling trucks are coming down their street!

  • Live vehicle tracking maps
  • Custom, embedded maps for individual workflows (snow plows, garbage trucks, street sweepers, etc). Easily add or remove vehicles from each group.
  • Automatic SilentPassenger and SDL Mobile integration
  • Automatic road snapping and smoothing of GPS data for a cleaner map
  • Automatic GPS analysis creates track areas based on time frames (eg color coded to show snow removal in hourly intervals)
  • Follow individual vehicles

New My Permits Widget

SDL Portal's Permit Status lookup and Inspection Scheduling are used thousands of times per week. Now you can make it even easier for your citizens by including the new My Permits widget directly on your town website! After logging into the Portal, they will see a list of all their current permits and inspections with summary information available instantaneously. Quick links to schedule an inspection or change a contractor are available for each permit.
 
For contractors, we've included a permit data CSV download and Google Sheets live integration. The latter will allow them to keep an online spreadsheet automatically updated with their permit information.
 
We are currently developing a comprehensive Widget Framework for our new   SDL Sites  service to seamlessly integrate SDL Portal's logins, citizen accounts, alerts, scheduling, maps, requests and all other functionality into municipal websites.   SDL Sites  hosting costs are included in your Enterprise license and will include the full portal integration by default.   Contact Sales for more information.

Bug Fixes
Please note that the following SDL Portal bugs have all since been resolved.
  • The account user page allowed users to occasionally keep primary town value blank
  • The admin user page's link to emails were not displaying emails
  • The town admin request template URL displayed was not in the correct format
  • The requests page buttons were occasionally not clickable on smaller screens
  • The permit request permit action modal should not be displayed for draft, nor should it direct to specific templates on page load
  • Road Opening Location - we changed how location data is collected in user interface to using Routes like road closings
  • Road Opening Request Type - attachment forms were not saving on the town admin page
  • Users were not found when "!" was included in their username
  • Owner state data added to their page

Misc Changes and Improvements

  • Permit Page - Address 2 Field
    • A field for Address 2 has been added to the Permit Page, when applicable
  • Inspection Cancellation Cutoff
    • A cutoff for the inspection cancellation has been added - users can no longer cancel inspections after 3pm of the day preceding the inspection
