Application/Renewal
We have learned that several towns like to send out renewal applications instead of using the Invoice. This new report will allow you to keep up-to-date on contact information and uses at the business. A blank option has been added the desktop report section. You can print single reports from the units related tab, and mass reports from the units datagrid. You can edit the Header, Knox box and signature sections of the report in the options. If you don't need a signature, you can remove the wording of the signature in the options and the lines will be removed. Please let us know if you would like to track any additional information.

Bill to Selection
In several cases you will need to send the certificate and violations to one address, while sending bills and invoices to another. Using the Send Correspondence feature, we have added a Send Bills to. This will affect all invoices and late notices. By default this will be set to what ever the correspondence value is, and you will have to manually adjust.

Rolling Notes
Please note the Checklist tab on the Inspection Editor has changed to Notes. We have also added the Rolling Notes functionality. When adding notes, a username and time stamp will be appended and added to the Master notes section. This is very helpful for logging phone calls and meetings. You can also double Click the master notes to get a larger window. A future update of SDL Mobile will also append the time stamp to the inspection notes field. Please note, this also fixes the Mobile to Desktop carriage return issue.

Detector Certificates: Append by Affidavit
Given the current crisis, we feel more Fire Prevention offices will stop doing live inspections for Smoke Detectors in residential units. One way this can be used is to get an affidavit signed by the agent that all detectors and extinguishers are present, in working order and correctly located. We have added a new report option to adjust the title of the smoke detector certificate to Append by Affidavit.
If towns choose to turn Smoke Detector Registration on for their SDL Portal, citizens also have the option to upload documents with their online request. Here, they would be able to upload digital copies of their signed affidavit. Please let us know if there is any other way that SDL can help with this process and keep inspectors safe.
