2020-04-20 Update - SDL Desktop COVID-19 Permit

SDL Desktop Construction Update 20.1.40

New Permit Status: COVID-19 Non-Essential

In response to the NJ Governor’s Executive Order #122, SDL has released a feature with this morning’s update (20.1.40) that will allow Building departments to mark existing Construction permits as   “COVID-19 Non-Essential”. Users with “CanVoidPermit” permissions will be able to assign this designation to individual permits in the closure tab, or make bulk updates from the datagrid. This option will override all other permit status labels except “Closed” and “Certificate Issued”.

Email Notifications
For towns that have notifications turned on for permit updates, SDL Portal will email the agents and owners that the status has changed to “COVID-19 Non-Essential”. To include additional information in the email notification, such as how to apply for an exemption, users can make those additions in the Town Admin Notifications section. Any additional information or instructions that you include will also appear at the top of any Permits in SDL Portal with the "COVID-19 Non- Essential" status.

Please Note...

The “COVID-19 Non-Essential” label does not stop users from doing any work on the permit. If you would like to see a “Lock Permit” option added, let us know and we can consider including it in our next update.
