This recent update includes several new options for reporting. These reports should assist you in tracking how the department is running.
Alternate Building Summary
The Alternate Building Summary gives users a breakdown of assorted counts and fees. However, more importantly, it also gives users a one page comparison of the same frame of time for the previous year and YTD numbers.


Permit Activity Report/L700 Report
We have also added an option to include voided permits into the activity report. Some users feel voided permits should not be included in the report, as the work was never completed. However, others feel that since the municipality still received money related to these permits, they should be included in the report. Because of this difference in opinions, users will have the option to turn this feature on or off. The same option was added to the L700 Report.
Please note that if you need to print a report from a previous time frame, the numbers may change based on whether or not you are including voided permits.

Metrics
Recently, we added a number of different metrics reports. These reports should provide valuable information regarding which users are processing permits, inspections and plan reviews, for the time frame, and how quickly these items are being processed.

Error Tracking
We realize that many departments are inundated with walk ins, phone calls and the normal day to day workflow. In reviewing customer feedback, we have noted several occasions of permit applications being overwritten. This new Error Tracking report compares the history of applications issued during the time frame.
It recognizes if the Permit Number, Permit Issue Date, Location or Total Fee have changed. In many cases, users will find that the change was quickly reverted tot he correct value. We feel that this new tool will be valuable for confirming the accuracy of your data. Please note that each line item shows a change that occurred during a save.


Ongoing Location Invoice List
In an attempt to help you stay on top of your elevator, back flows and pool invoices, we have added an Ongoing Location List. This list will show the status of all your invoices. Please let us know if you find this new feature helpful, and if you have any suggestions for improving it in future updates.


Mass Print Final Inspection
Finally, we have added an option to directly print the Final Inspection Notice letters in mass from the report options. Currently, this will only be for the initial letter, but based on feedback we can add additional option in the future.
Please note that depending on the number of permits, this can take a significant amount of time to run. Users should adjust the start and end dates to keep the number of permits printed reasonable.
