Improvements
Payment Requests - Confirmation Warning for Zero Balance
Added a confirmation prompt when attempting to create a payment request for permits with a zero dollar balance, preventing accidental payment requests on fully paid permits.
What's new:
- When clicking the Payment Request button on a permit with a $0 balance, a confirmation dialog now appears asking: "This permit has a $0 balance. Continue with the payment request?"
- Users can choose to proceed with the payment request or cancel and return to the permit details
How it works:
- Open a permit that has been paid in full (zero balance due)
- Click the "Payment Request" button
- A confirmation dialog appears warning about the zero balance
- Select "Yes" to proceed with creating a payment request anyway
- Select "No" to cancel and return to the permit modal
Impact: This improvement helps prevent unintended payment requests on permits that are already paid in full, reducing confusion for both staff and applicants while still allowing flexibility for legitimate cases where a payment request may be needed despite a zero balance.
Reports - Dynamic Date Fields Now Available
Added the ability to insert dynamic date fields in Connect reports that automatically populate with the current date and time when the report is generated
What's new:
- A new "Report Settings" section has been added to the report editor
- Two new dynamic date options are available: "Created Date" (date only) and "Created Date/Time" (date and time)
- These fields automatically populate with the date/time the report is generated, not when the permit was created or issued
How it works:
- Open any report editor in Connect (permit reports, inspection reports, etc.)
- Navigate to the new "Report Settings" section in the editor
- Select either "Created Date" or "Created Date/Time" to insert into your report
- Position the field where you want the current date to appear
- When the report is generated, the field will automatically display the current date or date/time
Impact: Staff can now create reports with automatically updating date fields, ensuring documents always reflect when they were generated. This is particularly useful for certificates, notices, and other official documents that require current dating. This feature works across all report types including primary reports, secondary reports, and custom inspection reports.
Fixed Issues
File Uploads - Error Fixed for Submission Attachments
Fixed an error that was preventing file uploads in various submission contexts, including:
- File request uploads
- Submission attachments
- Submission plan uploads
- OPR plan uploads
Impact: SDL Connect users can now reliably upload files across all submission contexts without encountering errors, ensuring attachments are properly saved and accessible when needed.
Deleted Permits No Longer Appear in Filtered Search Results
Summary: Fixed an issue where deleted permits were incorrectly appearing in datagrid search results when filtering by specific permit types, even though they were properly excluded from the All Permits datagrid.
What's fixed:
- Deleted permits are now properly excluded from search results when viewing a specific permit type in the datagrid
- Search functionality using the search dropdown or advanced filters now correctly respects the deleted status
Impact: Users will no longer see duplicate or deleted permit records when filtering search results by specific permit types, ensuring data accuracy and preventing confusion when tracking permit status.
