2026-06-23 Release Notes - SDL Desktop 26.6.1

What's new, improved, and fixed in SDL Desktop as of June 23, 2026.

This release includes 13 bug fixes and 6 enhancements across the Construction, Land Use, Fire Prevention, HealthPro, Code Enforcement, and Engineering modules. Updates improve print reliability, reporting accuracy, and workflow clarity across SDL Desktop, while also adding configuration improvements that give municipalities more flexibility in how information is displayed and managed.


Enhancements

Construction

  • Added support for multiple Use Groups on the UCC Jacket report for Construction permits, bringing this capability in line with what is already available for Certificates.
  • Improved the DCA Transmission workflow to display a clear message when no new permits exist to transmit, and to no longer update the Last Sent Date in that scenario, reducing user confusion.
  • Certificate and inspection details, including the requested inspection date, are now visible in the Details section on the Portal Request home page, helping staff prioritize requests more quickly.

Land Use

  • Land Use email templates for Zoning Applications now support customizable field labels, allowing municipalities to rename fields such as Use to Zone to match local terminology.

Code Enforcement

  • Added an Invoice Body field to Certificate Invoice Options, allowing administrators to include custom text such as insurance instructions on certificate invoices, consistent with invoice configuration available in other modules.

HealthPro

  • The Food License Application data grid now prompts users to confirm whether they want to load a selected parcel or address when creating a new application, matching behavior already available in other system data grids.

Bug Fixes

Construction

  • Fixed an issue with Email Report on the Permit Notice Related tab so the email form now opens correctly with the Permit Notice attached and the agent’s email pre-populated.
  • Fixed the Manage Inspections Activity Report so printed results now reflect the selected search criteria.
  • Updated the UCC Electrical Tech Card printout to align with the NJ DCA rev 12/25 form, including revised labels, wording, and review fields.
  • Fixed an issue where the certificate name was missing from the printed Alt Non-UCC certificate.
  • Added improved error handling for intermittent print failures from report previews.

HealthPro

  • Fixed an issue where new Food License Applications could generate duplicate license numbers instead of following the configured numbering sequence.

General Licensing

  • Fixed a General License certificate print issue so the correct state now appears in the location address.
  • Fixed the Fee Item Report by Account (Totals) so the DO NOT Show CC Payments filter now correctly excludes online and Municipay payments.

Fire Prevention

  • Fixed an issue where the Inspector field did not automatically populate on reinspection forms created from failed unit inspections.
  • Fixed an issue where invoice types could display incorrectly, affecting fee calculations and payment tracking.

Land Use

  • Fixed an issue where contractor information could be missing from zoning permit printouts when Use Original Zoning Permit was selected.
  • Fixed an issue where resubmitted Zoning Applications did not always reset fees to zero when that option was selected.

Engineering

  • Corrected a typo and grammatical error in the Project Selection Wizard intro text within the Engineering Road Openings module.
